The clauses that matter

The contract carries the full ten-section spine: parties, scope, schedule, price and payment, change order process, warranty, liability and indemnification, cancellation, boilerplate, and signatures. The Change Order Process clause — out-of-scope work proposed, priced, and approved in writing before it proceeds — is always present, because that one clause is what keeps a growing job from becoming an argument at invoicing. What it is — and isn’t

The price, deposit, and late-fee lines are descriptive contract text, not a billing engine — this tool does no math on them. If your agreement requires the customer to see proof of insurance before work starts, certificate of insurance covers what that document actually shows. Nothing is saved: there is no saved-contract list, no customer database, and no e-signature of record — that is field-service-management territory. Parties sign the printed copy offline.

Commercial customers, property managers and general contractors often go one step further than a certificate and ask to be named an additional insured on your liability policy, which is an endorsement your insurer issues rather than wording you can add here. Keep the services clause tight enough to read as a scope of work on its own, because that paragraph is what an addition is later measured against.
