How this template works

A service contract turns "I'll come fix it" into a document both sides sign before the work starts. Pick your trade variant (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or generic) and engagement type (one-off or recurring), fill the fields, and the contract updates live across ten sections: parties, scope, schedule, price and payment, change order process, warranty, liability, cancellation, boilerplate, and signatures. Every blank you leave falls back to a bracketed placeholder, so the document is usable before you've typed anything.

The variant you choose changes exactly two things: the scope prompt and the one trade clause injected into the liability section — HVAC's refrigerant / EPA acknowledgment, plumbing's water-damage and access disclaimer, or electrical's permit and inspection acknowledgment. The generic variant adds no trade clause. The engagement type swaps the schedule clause: a one-off job shows estimated start and completion dates; a recurring agreement shows a visit-frequency cadence and a renewal term. Switching either control keeps everything else you typed.

The Change Order Process clause — out-of-scope work proposed, priced, and approved in writing before it proceeds — is always present, on every variant. The price, deposit, and late-fee lines are descriptive contract text: this tool does no math on them. Nothing you enter is saved, and the two signature lines are signed offline. This is a starting point, not legal advice.
