How this invoice is built

Each line is Qty × Unit price. The lines sum to a Subtotal; an optional discount comes off, tax applies to the post-discount base, and the result is the Total. If you enter an Amount paid, the invoice shows the remaining Balance Due — otherwise the Total is the balance:

line amount = qty × unit price
subtotal    = Σ line amounts
discount = amount (clamped ≤ subtotal) or percent of subtotal
taxable     = subtotal − discount
tax         = taxable × tax rate%
total       = taxable + tax
balance due = total − amount paid (never below 0)

The due date derives from your payment terms — Due on receipt means due the issue date, Net 15 means 15 days after, and so on. Override the due date for a custom deadline and the terms label reads "Custom".

The pool preset rates are advisory starting points — typical figures from a published pool-maintenance cost guide — not authoritative pricing. Edit every rate to your market. The invoice number is suggested for this session only; nothing is saved or auto-incremented.
