How this is calculated
Each task's base hours is its measured quantity divided by its production rate, in matching units per hour. A difficulty factor (Easy 1.00, Moderate 1.15, Difficult 1.25 by default) scales that for the site. Adjusted hours are summed across all tasks, an optional fixed setup term is added once, and the job total is divided by crew size for the advisory on-site duration.

The canonical quantity ÷ rate = hours relationship and the
three-tier easy/moderate/difficult model (quantified at a 20–30% production
variance) are from SiteRecon's Landscaping Production Rates Guide; the
36-inch walk-behind ≈ 22,500 sq ft/hr default is from SiteRecon's estimate
guide. Quantity and rate share one unit per row, so the division is
unit-free — no cross-unit conversion is applied, and units may differ freely
across rows. This tool outputs time only, never a price or a sequenced route.
