How this is calculated

For each fixture row, labor cost = qty × laborHrs/unit × loadedRate; parts cost = qty × partsPrice/unit. The parts total is multiplied by 1 + waste%. Overhead is added per the method you choose (fixed dollars, % of labor, or % of direct cost).

labor     = Σ qty × laborHrs × loadedRate
materials = Σ qty × partsCost × (1 + waste%)
overhead  = per method (fixed | %labor | %total)
directCost = labor + materials + overhead
totalCost  = directCost × (1 + contingency%)
price (markup) = totalCost × (1 + markup%)
price (margin) = totalCost / (1 − margin%)

Tax, permit fees, and licensing are excluded — verify applicable requirements before finalizing a quote.
